Taco Chat Bouc Cheese Pizza: easy to learn, an instant hit
A gift from friends that became a holiday favourite: Taco Chat Bouc Cheese Pizza is easy to learn, full of laughs and a game we often take along for family fun.

Friends gave us Taco Chat Bouc Cheese Pizza, and this little game was an instant hit. We played it a lot on holiday and spent several evenings having a good laugh. Our daughter loves it, and so do the grown-ups!
We like being able to get a game out and start playing without a lengthy explanation. Here, there are a few words to remember, cards to turn over and hands ready to react. It sounds simple. And it is… until the pace picks up.

Five words to remember, with reflexes to match
The aim is to get rid of all your cards, but that doesn’t mean you’ve won yet! Even with no cards left, you keep saying the right word on your turn, as if you still had cards. To win, you then have to be the first to slap the pile when it’s time to do so.
Take turns flipping a card from your pile while saying the next word in the sequence “taco, chat, bouc, cheese, pizza”. Then start the sequence again. Keep the rhythm going: if you get it wrong, you pick up the pile.
When the picture matches the word, everyone has to slap the pile. The last person to do so takes the cards. Saying “chat”—French for cat—when a cat appears? Time to react.
The tricky part is saying the right word while looking at a picture that might show something else entirely. You have to follow the sequence, watch the cards and be ready to slap the pile. It’s easy to get muddled!
Special cards add to the confusion
As if that weren’t enough, some cards require a particular gesture before you slap the pile. So you need to react quickly while remembering which movement to make.
That mix of words, pictures and movements makes the game so engaging. The idea is easy to grasp, but keeping everything going without a mistake is another matter. And around our table, it gets plenty of laughs.

A little game we often take along
In our family, both kids and grown-ups enjoy it. Our daughter loves joining in, and we have fun together without complicated rules. That’s what we look for in these little family games.
There’s a simplified version for younger children: Taco Chaton Pizza. But to be honest, we soon felt we’d seen everything it had to offer, and the regular version is much more fun.
A little tip: take off your jewellery and watch your nails—accidents can happen quickly!
Since then, this little game has come with us wherever we travel.
